ENCOMPASS Benefits & HR Solutions Inc. provides professional consulting advice and support to our clients in the areas of Employee Benefits, Group Retirement Savings and Pension Plans, Health & Wellness and Human Resources counsel.

Employee benefits plans are quite complex and increasingly require a level of technical knowledge that no single person can provide. Our team approach ensures our clients always have a benefits specialist available to answer any questions. The ENCOMPASS team has over 140 years of combined experience.

Our Consultants

Bret Loge, B. Comm. (Hons.), GBA, CPHR, CHS - Principal - Benefits, Pension & HR Consultant

Bret is the principal at ENCOMPASS and earned his Commerce degree from the University of Manitoba, majoring in Human Resources and Industrial Relations. Since 1990, Bret has worked in the HR profession and received his Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation in 2001. His Group Benefits Associate (GBA) and Canadian Health Underwriters designations are benchmarks for industry specialized education. His experience in union and non-union, as well as for profit and non-profit environments has developed his ability to solve various HR challenges using creative insight. Having spent 15 years now as a consultant, he has added the role of leading our advisor team and developing a solid team of consultants. He also enjoys waterskiing, wakeboarding, racquetball, watching NASCAR and spending time with friends out at his cabin at Klub Kalamalka. He and his wife have been in Kelowna since 1998 and enjoy traveling with family.

Corrine Omand, CHS - Employee Benefits & Pension Consultant

Corrine Omand (Corrie) joined ENCOMPASS Benefits team in 2010 and is really driven by a client-first focus. As a Licenced Employee Benefits Consultant, Corrie assists her clients in taking care of their employees through well-designed and actively-managed cost-effective benefits plans.

Previous to her role at ENCOMPASS Corrie worked for an organization specializing in vocational rehabilitation, disability management, return-to-work services and Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs). Corrie really understands the advantages of having a well-managed employee benefits from both the employer's and the employee's perspective. She has a passion for creative Health and Wellness solutions. Her innovative approach to problems and situations is a perfect fit with ENCOMPASS Benefits, as is her focus on excellent customer service and building long-term client partnerships.

Corrie has lived in the Okanagan since 2004 and enjoys travelling and the outdoors. From hiking and mountain biking to mixed slo-pitch and golf, Corrie loves to be outside and is always on the lookout for new exciting experiences that keep her smiling.

Terri Eriksen, B.B.A., CPHR - Director of Operations - Employee Benefits, Pension & HR Consultant

Terri earned her Business Administration degree from the University of Regina, majoring in Human Resources and has worked in the Employee Benefits field since 2007. She achieved her CPHR designation in 2010 and is currently working to complete her GBA designation through Dalhousie University. Her career has focused on providing skillful disability management, HR counsel, and high-level client service. Terri’s client-focused role is to manage the changing needs of current clients and to develop new markets to support. Internally, Terri also is our Director of Operations focusing on compliance and strategic planning.

David Rojas, B.Mgmt. – Employee Benefits, Pension & HR Consultant

Over the past several years, David has volunteered in many projects locally and abroad where he discovered his passion for helping others – thus his great match for working with clients and their employee benefits and retirement savings plans. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of British Columbia and is very happy to call Kelowna home. David has had various leadership positions while working for the Canadian Forces and helping with the Air Cadet program where he obtained both his Glider and Private Pilot Licenses. As a result of having the opportunity to lead major projects to support various organizations around the world, he has come to the conclusion that a great leader is the product of successful teamwork. He is fluent in Spanish and enjoys traveling to experience different cultures whenever possible. On his free time David enjoys flying to different locations around British Columbia, exercising, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Kristy Winther – Group Retirement Consultant

After working several years for a large national group benefits provider, Kristy adds valuable insurance carrier experience to our dynamic team and looks forward each day to learning and growing in our industry. Her years of experience in the financial services industry has taught her the value of superior customer service and she strives to achieve excellence in customer satisfaction with each client interaction. Kristy enjoys the Okanagan Valley where she enjoys camping, running, and other outdoor activities with her husband and their young daughter.

Carol-Lynn Spruce – Account Manager (Licenced)

Born into a military family in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Carol-Lynn moved to the Okanagan early on. She spent a great deal of time in the orchards and at the beach before moving to the coast in her teens. After graduating from secondary school, she went to culinary school initially and then on to business school. She started her financial and insurance career at Wood Gundy, where she worked16 years as a Licenced executive assistant to three vice presidents. Carol-Lynn’s family eventually moved back to the Okanagan in 2002 to raise their two daughters. She is enjoying the dynamic ENCOMPASS team and applying her many skills and areas of expertise to our clients.

Lyle Isenor - Ambassador

Over the past several years Lyle built then sold a successful small business in the Okanagan that served thousands of clients across western Canada. Previously, he worked in the group benefits division of a major Canadian insurance company. After gaining experience from a carrier's perspective, he worked as a consultant for group benefits and individual insurance where he built a substantial client base. Lyle's 25 years experience affords him a unique understanding of the needs and demands on business owners.

Dianna Syrnyk - Benefits Support Specialist

Dianna joined our company in 1999. She is a long time Kelowna resident and is familiar with business concerns in today's competitive marketplace. Dianna assists with questions regarding group benefits plans, and is in contact with clients regularly for any service questions they may have. Dianna is well-versed in Group Benefits and has a proven track record of dependability and accuracy.

Carole Kormendy - Benefits Support Specialist

Carole, a long-time resident of Kelowna, joined the ENCOMPASS team June 2011. She has worked for various Okanagan employers and has an extensive background in customer service and administrative support, dealing with group benefit administration, payroll, accounting, and financial planning. Carole enjoys getting out and taking in the beauty of the Okanagan Valley, from hiking the local trails to camping and fishing in the back lakes with her husband.

Megan Kitson, B.B.A. - Benefits Support Specialist

Megan earned her B.B.A degree with a Human Resources major from Okanagan College and enjoys crafting and the outdoors. She has seen first-hand the importance of the right kind of support for employees and high-quality customer service for clients. She left her beloved Okanagan in pursuit of valuable group benefits experience and has now returned to serve in the industry she loves. She has stopped at nothing to achieve her goals and now brings that to ENCOMPASS and the clients she supports.

Glenda Gullage - Benefits Support Specialist

Glenda joined ENCOMPASS with over 25 years of valuable experience in both customer service and administration. She cheerfully manages our front desk and is an amazing go-to person for anything administrative. Originally from Red Deer, Alberta, Glenda moved to the Okanagan to be closer to her family and to enjoy the milder weather. When not at work, Glenda enjoys the outdoors, camping, painting, volunteering and spending time with family.

Karen McGrath - Office Administrator

Originally from the Lower Mainland, Karen moved with her family to Kelowna in 2005. She joined the ENCOMPASS team after having worked many years in the not-for-profit sector, specifically in the areas of office administration, payroll and group benefits. She oversees all of our financial reporting and accounting responsibilities. Always appreciating a good conversation, novel or movie, Karen also enjoys hiking Knox Mountain, kayaking, snowshoeing and camping. Together with her husband, she supports local social justice initiatives and volunteers with an organization that offers support and hope to the marginalized community in downtown Kelowna.

Brenna Osland, B.Math - Benefits Support Specialist (Licenced)

Brenna earned her Bachelor of Mathematics degree with Business Specialization and Computer Science minor from the University of Waterloo. She moved to the Okanagan in 2014 after travelling through Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Her co-operative studies allowed her to explore the worlds of Human Resources and Pension, and her recent experience with Individual Insurance lends a unique perspective, which she uses to assist clients at ENCOMPASS. In her spare time, Brenna enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring the beautiful Okanagan she has come to call home.

Cathleen Loge, B.A – Corporate Secretary/Project Manager

Cathleen has been part of the ENCOMPASS team since 2010 supporting our operations through new initiatives, transitions and special projects. She provides a significant level of leadership in the accounting and legal areas of our firm. She received her bachelor’s degree in 1989 and later went on to study tax law. She regularly connects with many of our clients in various capacities and provides deep wisdom to her husband Bret, all the time! Along with leading worship at church with her soprano voice, her other passion includes volunteering with charitable groups in various countries.

Natasha Loge – Benefits Support Specialist

Natasha joined our team in the summer of 2014 to assist ENCOMPASS in various administrative roles. She is currently in her second year of university, working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Providence University College in Manitoba. Using her experience in administrative positions as well as her passion for customer service, Natasha provides assistance to the ENCOMPASS team in any area that they may need and seeks to provide a welcoming atmosphere for ENCOMPASS clients and visitors. In her spare time, Natasha loves listening to and writing music, as well as publishing her fashion blog.
