ENCOMPASS Benefits & HR Solutions is pleased to announce that Lyle Isenor, an ENCOMPASS Benefits Consultant, will be dancing for a worthy cause in the “Swinging with the Stars” dance competition on March 2, 2013 supporting the Central Okanagan Hospice Association (COHA).

What is COHA?

COHA helps to meet the needs of the terminally ill and their families by providing compassionate care, support and assistance through resources, trained volunteers and professional counselling.  Last year alone, volunteers gave over 18,000 hours to bereavement, hospice, palliative and vigil services.  COHA manages all these volunteers that make a difference to so many grieving families.

Why Help?

Most of us have been touched by cancer whether it’s a friend or family member being diagnosed. At ENCOMPASS, we hear about it more frequently than others as we support our clients and their employees during a difficult time such as a terminal illness. Cancer has touched the ENCOMPASS team personally and we are pleased to sponsor and support such an amazing organization.

Bret Loge of ENCOMPASS says “Giving back to the community is important to our organization and we encourage all of our staff to support community organizations that they are passionate about.”

Throughout the community, COHA has earned a reputation for having a wonderful team of staff and volunteers that provide a supportive and caring environment for families with a loved one living their last days. This event is COHA’s main fundraising event for the year.

Why is Lyle dancing?

Lyle explains why he is participating “I don’t know what I love more, dancing or supporting a great community organization like COHA. I know that the Hospice provides an invaluable service by helping many families during a very difficult time. I am honoured to show my support by raising money for such a worthy cause while doing what I love – dancing.”

Lyle and his wife Jerry are avid dancers; however, this will be a new experience for Lyle. His dance partner is Sharon Sebo, Dance Instructor with Tango Kelowna. They will be dancing the Argentine Tango which Lyle says “should be fun and an exciting challenge as I have never danced the Argentine Tango before. I am looking forward to it!”

How You Can Help

Lyle’s fundraising goal is $10,000. We appreciate your donation.
